Allow Unknown Sources
To install APK files outsidePlay Store, enable installation from unknown sources:
Settings Path:
- Go to Phone Settings
- Select Security or Security & Privacy
- Find and enable Unknown Sources or Install Unknown Apps
- Choose your browser from the list and allow installation
Security Note: This is required to install apps outside Google Play Store. Playtime APK is 100% secure and regularly scanned for malware.
On newer Android versions (8.0+), you need to allow installation from the specific source (browser):
- Go to Settings > Apps & Notifications
- Tap Advanced
- Select Special App Access
- Tap Install Unknown Apps
- Select your browser and enable Allow from this source
